Central Railway : Another new suburban local station to be built on Central Railway

A new Chikhloli station will be constructed between Ambernath and Badlapur on the Central Railway line. 81.93 crore rupees will be spent for that.

A new Chikhloli station will be constructed between Ambernath and Badlapur on the Mumbai-Central Railway line. 81.93 crore rupees will be spent for that. Tenders have been floated by Mumbai Railway Development Corporation (MRVC) for the construction of stations.

4 million passengers travel daily on the suburban route of Central Railway. Compared to Mumbai city, the number of daily passengers from Thane, Kalyan, Dobinvali and other stations is increasing. Interestingly, the number of passengers at Ambernath and Badlapur stations has increased tremendously over the past few years.

Therefore, there was a demand for construction of Chikhloli station between Ambernath-Badlapur by passengers and local representatives. A similar proposal was also sent to the Railway Board in 2020. He was paid. Now the work of constructing this station has been done by Mumbai Railway Development Corporation (MRVC).

A total of 8 for the construction of the station. 50 acres of land has been acquired. Now tenders have been floated by Mumbai Railway Development Corporation (MRVC) for the construction of Chikhloli stations. MRVC officials have informed that four platforms will be constructed in this station.

The work will be completed in two years

In order not to inconvenience the residents of the Chikhloli area for a long time, the Railways has set a target of constructing the station in the next two years and has also provided ample financial funds for it. Chikhloli station will help break up the rush of passengers at Ambernath-Badlapur station.
